How do I know if I need a baby sleep consultant?

If you're struggling to get your child on a healthy sleep schedule that leaves them feeling happy and well-rested, then a baby sleep consultant can help. Many parents come to me feeling exhausted, frustrated and at the end of their rope after struggling with their baby's sleep schedules for months. Some come to me at the first sign that formerly good sleep habits are starting to deteriorate. Lots of parents struggle with sleep regressions that often take place when their child is going through developmental changes. Common ages for sleep regressions are 4 months, 6 months, 9 months and 11 months. Developmental changes, nap transitions and moving to a big kid bed are also times when sleep issues can emerge. I also have parents come to me when they are expecting a baby or have just had a baby in order to get good habits in place for their Awesome Little Sleepers. If you're struggling to get your family the sleep they need, I can help. contact me >>

Why Awesome Little Sleepers?

As a mother of two young kids, I have been in your shoes and I know how frustrating sleep training can be. As a nationally certified baby sleep consultant, I have completed 80+ hours of training and research on the science of pediatric sleep. Did you know that pediatricians only receive 2-3 hours of training on sleep during their residency? I am certified by the Family Sleep Institute founded by Deborah Pedrick, one of the pioneers in the baby sleep consulting industry. I have read all the books and have experience with many families in a variety of unique situations. I can apply all that knowledge to help you get your child on a healthy sleep schedule.

Although I'm based in Tampa Bay, I successfully work with clients all across the country.

How long will the process take?

Getting your baby on a healthy sleep schedule takes commitment and consistency. We will work together to get your baby on a biologically appropriate 24-hour sleep routine including naps and nighttime sleep based on their developmental age and your unique family dynamic. Different sleep training methods vary in the amount of time they take to be successful but most clients see success within 3 weeks.

What sleep training methods do you use?

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to sleep training. The best sleep training method is the one that you feel confident about and can consistently, successfully implement. I will work closely with you to understand your parenting style and customize an approach that you will feel confident will work for your family.

What age children do you work with?

I work with families with children from newborns to Kindergarten age. I even work with expecting families to provide education on setting a foundation for healthy sleep. Although formal sleep training is not recommended until 4-5 months of age, you can never start good habits too early. Healthy sleep habits can be taught at any age. Everyone deserves a good night's sleep!

How does the process work?

First, contact me by email or by phone (404.483.6535). I will get back to you within 1 business day and we will have a short consultation so I can better understand your situation and recommend how we can best work together. All packages begin with a Client Intake Form and subsequent Sleep Meeting. After the meeting where we determine the best sleep strategy for your family I support you as you follow through with it consistently and work to achieve the sleep goals that you have defined for your child.
