The holidays always make me reflective, and this year I keep coming back to the families who’ve shared their stories with me—moms who were once exhausted, overwhelmed, and stuck in sleep routines that felt impossible to change. Today, I want to celebrate them. You’ll hear their real words, their honest struggles, and the life-changing shifts that happened the moment they decided, “We can’t keep doing this.”

If bedtime feels like a battlefield in your home right now, I hope these stories give you a clear picture of what’s possible—and remind you that you’re absolutely not alone.

Success stories from the toddler sleep battleground

Katelyn Brown’s story: From constant night wakings to a confident, independent sleeper

First up is one of the coolest moms I’ve ever worked with: Katelyn Brown. She’s a country singer, married to Kane Brown, and truly one of the kindest, most grounded people you’ll ever meet. When her second baby was born, she hit a sleep struggle so many parents can relate to: her oldest started climbing out of the crib right as the newborn came home. They had to transition to a big-kid bed overnight, and sleep spiraled fast.

Katelyn shared to her Instagram stories that her daughter went from being the best sleeper to suddenly waking up all night long.

“I used to brag about how well she slept,” she said. “And then literally overnight… she wouldn’t sleep at all.”

What started as one rough night turned into months of constant wake-ups. Every three hours, her daughter was up—screaming, crying—and Katelyn was completely exhausted.

“I was a zombie. I didn’t know what to do.”

Even in her desperation, she tried hard not to bring her daughter into bed, even though it would have been easier in the moment.

“I refused to let her sleep with us, because everyone told me it would be even harder in the long run. So I kept her in her bed… but I was so tired.”

One night, after getting zero sleep, she grabbed her laptop and started searching for help. That’s when she found Awesome Little Sleepers.

“I signed up for the course immediately. I sat at my computer for hours going through every lesson, every slide, every bit of information.”

And then she tried the REST method.

That very first night, it went so smoothly. There were a couple bumps, but by the second night she slept. The second and third nights were amazing, and it’s been amazing ever since.”

Now bedtime in their home looks completely different.

“We read our books, sing a song, I kiss her goodnight, and I leave the room while she’s still awake. She doesn’t beg me to stay. She sleeps until 7 a.m.—and that’s when Cody wakes up too.”

Her whole life shifted.

“My life has significantly changed. This isn’t an ad or a promo. This is just a mom who was desperate. I paid for the course, I did the work, and it changed everything. Now I put the kids to bed and I actually have a little life before I go to sleep… and I get a full night’s rest.”

Katelyn ended with one final message for other moms:

“If you’re having issues—if you’re exhausted—I get it. Go check her out. It was amazing what it did for us.”

Lauren’s story: From hours of bedtime struggle to independent, peaceful toddler sleep

Lauren shared that before starting the program, her four-year-old’s bedtime was completely out of control. “It would take hours for her to fall asleep,” she said. “She needed someone rubbing her back, she woke up multiple times a night, and either she’d end up in our bed or we’d end up in hers.” Everyone in the family was exhausted.

But after about two and a half weeks with the Sleep Tight Without a Fight program, everything shifted. “She’s going to bed at a normal time, she’s sleeping through the night, nobody is sleeping with her anymore, and we’re all so much more well-rested because of it.”

“Thank you so much, Jessica. Your program is amazing. Highly recommended.”

Sarah’s story: From hours-long bedtimes to quiet evenings (and a 6:45 p.m. lights-out win)

Sarah can finally read a book after her 2-and-a-half year old son goes to bed at 6:30 and sleeps through the night. Before starting the program, bedtime was consuming their entire evening.

“My husband and I struggled to get him to bed before eight o’clock,” she said. “We used to be in there for hours on end. Every night.”

Those long bedtimes meant everything else in their life was put on pause.

“We could never make dinner together. We could never sit and watch a show. We could never even sit down and read a book. Our whole evening revolved around trying to get him to sleep.”

But everything changed once they followed the method.

“Our son now goes to sleep at 6:30, lights out. He’s asleep by 6:45. He sleeps through the night—no more wakeups, no getting out of bed, no crying, no drama.”

And for the first time in years, their evenings feel peaceful.

“Right now it’s 6:45 and I’m sitting in my own bed, quietly, about to read a book,” she said. “This is the best thing we’ve ever done. Best money we’ve ever spent. Best course we’ve ever taken. We truly have our life back.”

Her only regret?

“Not doing it sooner.”

Sonia and Danny’s story: From six months of co-sleeping to a child who asks for bedtime

This family shared that everything started to unravel when their son simply stopped sleeping on his own.

“He just stopped sleeping independently,” they explained. “We ended up sleeping with him in his bed for six months. For six months he wouldn’t let us go—he wouldn’t let us leave the room.”

Night after night, they felt stuck. Until they decided to commit fully to Jessica’s plan.

“We just stuck to Jessica’s plan… and success. It’s been amazing,” they said. “Jessica told us the anxiety leading up to the first night would be worse than the first night itself—and she was right.”

And once they got through that initial hurdle, everything changed fast.

“Within a few nights, he was falling asleep in about seven minutes. And then he actually started asking to go to sleep because he loved the routine so much.”

Looking back, they realized something important.

“Honestly, Jessica did a better job training us than training our son,” they joked. “He was ready to sleep on his own—we were just letting him get away with too much. Now he doesn’t, and he’s actually better for it.”

And the ripple effect has reached every part of his day.

“His mood, his behavior, his personality, it all improved. When he gets a good night’s sleep, you can just tell. He wakes up refreshed and ready to conquer the day.”
